NFL Week 17 Picks

December 26, 2013

Bills at Patriots (Sunday 4:25pm)
Too much on the line for the Pats to no-show here in week 17.
Winner: Patriots

Panthers at Falcons (Sunday 1pm)
See Patriots for Panthers. #2 seed on the line here as well.
Winner: Panthers

Ravens at Bengals (Sunday 1pm)
You don’t think the Bengals want to see the Ravens twice in two weeks do you? They could with a loss here.
Winner: Bengals

Jets at Dolphins (Sunday 1pm)
Rex Ryan would love to put an end to the Dolphins season.  Rex would also love a new contract. He’ll get neither.
Winner: Dolphins

Jaguars at Colts (Sunday 1pm)
Will the Colts rest looking towards next week?
Winner: Colts

Lions at Vikings (Sunday 1pm)
The Lions downfall comes to a complete fail in Minnesota. Bye bye Jim Schwarz.
Winner: Vikings

Redskins at Giants (Sunday 1pm)
The Redskins are playing for the right for St.Louis to draft #1 or #2.
Winner: Giants

Browns at Steelers (Sunday 1pm)
The Steelers still have something to play for while watching the Ravens and Dolphins.
Winner: Steelers

Texans at Titans (Sunday 1pm)
The Texans can finally do something right this season by losing here.
Winner: Titans

49ers at Cardinals (Sunday 4:25pm)
Hard to believe that the Cards will beat the Seahawks in week 16 and 49ers in week 17, win 11 games and miss the playoffs.
Winner: Cardinals

Bucs at Saints (Sunday 4:25pm)
So, the Saints could be a #2, #5, #6 seed or not make the playoffs at all. Can’t see them losing in this spot at home though as they send Greg Schiano back to college (Penn State?)
Winner: Saints

Packers at Bears (Sunday 4:25pm)
Things go from bad to worse for the Bears.  Aaron Rodgers is back! Should’ve clinched things last week.
Winner: Packers

Broncos at Raiders (Sunday 4:25pm)
Time to wrap up the #1 seed in Denver.
Winner: Broncos

Chiefs at Chargers (Sunday 4:25pm)
If the Dolphins, Ravens and Steelers lose earlier in the day, the Chargers could benefit from KC sitting down some key players for the playoffs.
Winner: Chargers

Rams at Seahawks (Sunday 4:25pm)
The seahawks will be out to show that last week was just a dream/nightmare loss at home. Sorry St.Louis.
Winner: Seahawks

Eagles at Cowboys (Sunday 8:30pm)
Can it get any more bizarre in Big D? Sure, a Cowboys win would do just that.
Winner: Cowboys

Last week: 9-7
Season: 153-85-1

NFL Picks – Week 9

October 31, 2013

Bengals at Dolphins (Thursday 8:25pm)
This is exactly the type of game that the Bengals normally lose against an inferior road opponent who’s lost 4 in a row. Prove me wrong, Cincy.
Winner: Dolphins

Chiefs at Bills (Sunday 1pm)
Just a hunch here.  Say goodbye to the last undefeated.
Winner: Bills

Chargers at Redskins (Sunday 1pm)
Slowly, RGIII is looking better.  Erase the final 20 minutes of the Broncos game and the Redskins could’ve been on to something.
Winner: Redskins

Falcons at Panthers (Sunday 1pm)
Cam Newton is surging and the Falcons are souring.
Winner: Panthers

Vikings at Cowboys (Sunday 1pm)
Nice way to rebound for the Cowboys after a disasterous last minute meltdown in Detroit last week.
Winner: Cowboys

Titans at Rams (Sunday 1pm)
Remember when the Titans were the NFL’s darlings after a couple of weeks? Payback time for Jeff Fisher.
Winner: Rams

Saints at Jets (Sunday 1pm)
So, let’s see, the Bengals put up 49 on the Jets (with 2 defensive TD’s) last Sunday. Drew Brees must be licking his chops after throwing 5 TD’s last week against Buffalo.
Winner: Saints

Bucs at Seahawks (Sunday 4pm)
Lucky Bucs. They’re winless, get to travel cross-country and they get to face the Seahawks, who are smarting from Monday’s disappointing performance against the Rams.
Winner: Seahawks

Eagles at Raiders (Sunday 4pm)
The Eagles are a mess right now.
Winner: Raiders

Steelers at Patriots (Sunday 4:25pm)
The Pats are simply looking to get through this one and get to the bye without any more season ending injuries.
Winner: Patriots

Ravens at Browns (Sunday 4:25pm)
Two teams with zero handle on what they are and what they can be this season.
Winner: Ravens

Bears at Packers (Sunday 8:30pm)
The Packers are rollin’ offensively, even without Randall Cobb and James Jones. That’s a scary thought.
Winner: Packers

Colts at Texans (Sunday 8:30pm)
Is there anyone left offensively for the Texans to count on? Andre Johnson’s getting awfully lonely with all these injuries.
Winner: Colts

Last week: 11-2
Season: 84-36

NFL Picks – Week 8

October 24, 2013

Panthers at Bucs (Thursday 8:25pm)
It’s time to fire up that countdown clock to Greg Schiano’s firing day in Tampa. The Bucs are winless and now without Doug Martin.
Winner: Panthers

Dolphins at Patriots (Sunday 1pm)
The good news is that the Pats are finally getting some players back: Gronk, Talib, Amendola. The bad news is that Tom Brady hasn’t
thrown a TD pass in 2 of his last 3 games.
Winner: Patriots

Cowboys at Lions (Sunday 1pm)
Expect an offensive explosion here.
Winner: Lions

Browns at Chiefs (Sunday 1pm)
Sure, KC’s undefeated but yet again, they’ll play another wounded team. Wait until they have to play Denver twice in two weeks in late November.
Winner: Chiefs

Bills at Saints (Sunday 1pm)
Slim. None. Those are the chances the Bills could actually win this game.
Winner: Saints

Giants at Eagles (Sunday 1pm)
Hard to believe that after winning just one game, the Giants could actually get back into the NFC East race with a win here.  Expect Michael Vick back this week.
Winner: Eagles

49ers at Jaguars in London (Sunday 1pm)
The Jags better hope the Niners are very jet-lagged here.
Winner: 49ers

Steelers at Raiders (Sunday 4pm)
Quietly, the Steelers are starting to get their offense back to a respectable level.
Winner: Steelers

Jets at Bengals (Sunday 4pm)
Jets have won the last four against Cincy, but it’s NY’s week to lose after beating the Patriots last Sunday.
Winner: Bengals

Redskins at Broncos (Sunday 4:25pm)
Lucky Redskins, they get to face an underachieving Peyton Manning after Denver’s first loss of the season Sunday night in Indianapolis.
Winner: Broncos

Falcons at Cardinals (Sunday 4:25pm)
This is a game the Falcons should win.  But these are not last year’s Falcons my friends.
Winner: Cardinals

Packers at Vikings (Sunday 8:30pm)
Josh Freeman threw 53 passes in a loss at the Giants. Now, after a concussion, it’s Christian Ponder taking Freeman’s spot at QB.  Lucky Packers!
Winner: Packers

Seahawks at Rams (Monday 8:30pm)

Who will score more – the Rams or the World Series-playing Cardinals?
Winner: Seahawks

Last week: 9-6
Season: 73-34

NFL Picks Week 9

November 1, 2012

Chiefs at Chargers (Thursday 8:20pm)
The word of out of San Diego is that if the Chargers don’t win, Norv Turner will no longer be head coach.
Winner: Chargers

Dolphins at Colts (Sunday 1pm)
Who would’ve believe that this one has playoff implications?
Winner: Dolphins

Broncos at Bengals (Sunday 1pm)
Two teams headed in opposite directions these days.
Winner: Broncos

Ravens at Browns (Sunday 1pm)
If you liked the Browns 7-6 game against SD last Sunday, you’ll love this one.
Winner: Ravens

Cardinals at Packers (Sunday 1pm)
What’s happened to that vaunted Cardinals defense? Arizona’s 0-4 after a 4-0 start.
Winner: Packers

Bills at Texans (Sunday 1pm)
This one could get ugly…early.
Winner: Texans

Lions at Jaguars (Sunday 1pm)
Quietly, the Lions are turning their season around.  Now, if they could only get Calvin Johnson a TD catch.
Winner: Lions

Bears at Titans (Sunday 1pm)
The Bears coming to town should put CJ2K back in his early season funk.
Winner: Bears

Panthers at Redskins (Sunday 1pm)
Expect a nice shootout here between Cam Newton and RGIII.
Winner: Redskins

Bucs at Raiders (Sunday 4pm)
Are the Bucs legitimately an NFC playoff contender? We may find out in Oakland.
Winner: Bucs

Vikings at Seahawks (Sunday 4pm)
One will fall off the NFC playoff race.  The other takes a nice step forward.
Winner: Seahawks

Steelers at Giants (Sunday 4:25pm)
What’s happened to Mr. Elite, Eli Manning the past 3 weeks? Just 2 TD’s to go with 3 INT’s.
Winner: Giants

Cowboys at Falcons (Sunday 8:20pm)
You just know that the Falcons are amped up to show a National TV audience they are for real.
Winner: Falcons

Eagles at Saints (Sunday 8:30pm)
Last chance for the Eagles to get it together or it will be bye bye Michael Vick.
Winner: Saints

Byes: Patriots, Jets, 49ers, Rams

Last Week: 10-4
Season: 72-46
