Red Sox clinch top spot while Pats go without Gronk/Amendola

A couple of big notes for Saturday:

With Seattle’s 7-5 win over Oakland Saturday, the Red Sox have clinched the best record in the American League and will host the AL Wild Card winner (Texas, Cleveland or Tampa Bay) in the ALDS on Friday at Fenway Park.

According to various reports, including Boston.com, the Patriots have left TE Rob Gronkowski (back/forearm) and WR Danny Amendola (groin) at home, meaning they will both miss the Falcons game in Atlanta Sunday night.
