Yes, it was bound to happen. The NBA puts the Celtics on South Beach to start the season on October 30th (TNT), watch the Heat get their championship rings and face newly signed former Celtic Ray Allen.
Allen comes back to Boston on January 18th while Doc Rivers gets to face son Austin and the Hornets on January 16th for the first time before a return engagement in New Orleans on March 20th. Boston again plays on Christmas Day, traveling to Brooklyn for a Noon game with the Nets on ESPN.
The home opener is November 2nd vs. Milwaukee.
Boston will play 20 back-to-backs while playing on national tv 19 times.
