We’ve been hoping this one would come to fruition and now, it looks like it has! The Celtics, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports, will trade last year’s Purdue draft picks, JaJuan Johnson and E’Twuan Moore, plus Sean Williams and a future second round pick to Houston for guard Courtney Lee.
Now with it, it looks like the Celtics backcourt is much improved over last year, even after losing Ray Allen to Miami. Word is that Moore could be waived and head off to somewhere else (not Boston due to NBA rule).
It looks like Ryan Hollins will end up with Clippers and Greg Steimsma with Minnesota as well. So, that leaves small deals, assuming the Lee deal goes through, with Mikel Pietrus, Keyon Dooling or Marquis Daniels still a chance to happen.
