Flat out, the Sixers outplayed, outhustled and did everything better than the Celtics in game 6 to force game 7 Saturday in Boston.
82-75 in a game the Celtics seemed never wanted to be part of from the word go.
When you get outscored in the paint, 42-16 points, it’s about “grit and balls” and hard work. Philly just did it better.
Kevin Garnett had 20 points, but it sure wasn’t a tone-setting performance. As Doc Rivers said in his postgame presser, “he got numbers.” There just wasn’t the focus and energy from either KG or Rajon Rondo that THIS offense needed.
Let’s see who shows up for game 7 Saturday night. It definitely won’t be Avery Bradley, who according to CSNNE.com’s A. Sharrod Blakely, is out for the season with that shoulder injury.
