What’s this? The Celtics can’t find any offense and the Red Sox have now won four in a row??!!! WTF is going on here!
At the Fens, Jon Lester finally looks like an ace for one game with a complete game win over the Mariners (yes, it’s the lowly M’s), 6-1. Meanwhile at the TD Garden, the Celtics lose game 2 of the Eastern Conference semi’s 82-81 to the Sixers, evening that series at one game a piece. Paul Pierce scores just 7 points and Rajon Rondo adds only 8. Kevin Garnett led the C’s with a mere 15 points in a game that saw Boston score 13 points in the 2nd quarter and just 11 in the third. UGLY!
Let’s see where this goes this week as the Red Sox play a matinee with the Mariners (4:05pm) on Tuesday before heading to Tampa while the Celtics head to Philly for game 3 Wednesday.
