Red Sox get 1st win; 4-2 over Blue Jays

It’s Felix Doubront vs. Henderson Alverez in Toronto and Boston gets a 4-2 come from behind win to give Bobby Valentine his first win in a Red Sox uniform.

* Dustin Pedroia’s solo HR in the 6th cuts Toronto’s lead to 2-1.

* Red Sox score 3 runs in the 9th to take a 4-2 lead. Ryan Sweeney’s RBI single sends pinch-runner Darnell McDonald home with the go-ahead score.

* Sweeney, Pedroia and David Ortiz all had two hits for Boston.

* Alfredo Aceves records a 1-2-3 9th inning for his 1st save as Red Sox closer.

* Scott Atchison gets the win with three scoreless innings of relief.

* Doubront went five innings, giving up two runs on four hits while striking out six and walking three.
