Red Sox fall to Jays, Miller strains hamstring

It`s a night affair for the Red Sox and Blue Jays Tuesday night in Ft.Myers with Toronto coming away with a 9-2 win.

* Starter Daniel Bard went five innings, the most of the spring, giving up three runs on three hits, three walks and two strike outs.

* Catcher Kelly Shoppach hit a two-run home run for Boston.

* Mike Aviles had a couple of hits.

* Pitcher Vicente Padilla is battling a strained right hamstring while pitcher Andrew Miller suffered a mild left hamstring strain during tonight’s game.

* Next up: Wednesday against the Pirates at 1:05pm.
