Beckett looks good in Red Sox win over Orioles

The Red Sox took on the Orioles twice Saturday, getting a win and a tie. Here’s a few highlights…

* Josh Beckett threw five innings of one run ball, giving up two hits and striking out a pair.

* Cody Ross slammed a solo home run and scored two runs with two hits.

* In the tie, Nate Spears slugged a three-run home run for the offense while Aaron Cook threw 3 1/3 innings of scoreless, one-hit ball.

* Carl Crawford has begun to swing a bat again.

* The team has released pitcher Carlos Silva.

* Next up: Sunday vs. Rangers in Port Charlotte with Clay Buchholz on the mound.
