NBA on TNT brings the Heat to Portland

TNT NBA Thursday Doubleheader Features the Oklahoma City Thunder @ Orlando Magic (8 p.m. ET) followed by the Miami Heat @ Portland Trail Blazers (10:30 p.m. ET)

TNT NBA Thursday continues on March 1 with doubleheader action beginning at 8 p.m. (ET). Tipping off the first game of the night, All-Star 2012 MVP Kevin Durant leads the Oklahoma City Thunder into Orlando to take on Dwight Howard and the Magic. Marv Albert (play-by-play) will be courtside along with Steve Kerr (analyst) and Mike Fratello (analyst) to call the game with Craig Sager (reporter). The second game of the night features Miami’s LeBron James and his Heat teammates as they travel to Portland for an encounter with LaMarcus Aldridge and the Trail Blazers at 10:30 p.m. (ET). Kevin Harlan (play-by-play) will be courtside along with Reggie Miller (analyst) to call the game with Cheryl Miller (reporter). Following the second game, Inside the NBA presented by Hyundai with Ernie Johnson (host), Charles Barkley (analyst), Shaquille O’Neal (analyst) and Kenny Smith (analyst) will recap the night’s action.

Through 25 games of TNT’s 2011-12 NBA regular-season schedule, the network continues to deliver double-digit gains versus last year’s corresponding coverage. The NBA on TNT is averaging a 1.8 U.S. HH rating (+20% vs. 1.5 U.S. rating); 2,780,000 total viewers (+23% vs. 2,260,000 total viewers) and 2,086,000 households (+23% vs. 1,699,000 households) over last year’s corresponding coverage. Through the first half of the season, the Top Five NBA regular-season games on cable have all aired on TNT.
